A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

  • Do not include crop marks.
  • Avoid using perimeter borders.
  • Artwork must meet edge, but does not exceed document borders. Do not include bleeds.
  • Keep crucial elements such as text, logos and important photographic areas at least 2" away from every edge of the panel due to necessary production over-sizing for cutting.
  • All artwork AND images must be in RGB color mode.

ACCEPTABLE SOFTWARE

PHOTOSHOP CS4 (to version 11.0)

Submit flat EPS files for printing. See Step 5 for file saving settings. PSD files are not necessary, but may be included.

Illustrator CS4 (to version 14.0)

Submit .ai files. Other formats are not acceptable. InDesign files are not accepted.

COLOR SETTINGS

1.

COLOR MANAGEMENT

Your design templates will be set up to Skyline's Color Management upon receipt. However, to ensure accuracy we insist you load Skyline Color Management.csf prior to design. This file is included in your Skyline Metro Design Package.

2.

RGB COLOR MODE

To ensure screen color accuracy, we highly recommend using the color specifications detailed in figure 1-2. The RGB color model encompasses a much broader color spectrum and is the mode in which we print.

3.

PANTONE COLOR MATCHING

Reference ALL Pantones used in your designs. Simply list them in the pre-upload form AND include them in template call out box.

IMAGE RESOLUTION & SAVING

4.

BETWEEN 75 & 100 DPI

Images are between 75 and 100 dpi at FINAL PRINT SIZE. Always preview raster artwork at actual print size to check for any hidden flaws. "Rezing up" or resampling an image will only soften your image, it will not add detail.

5.

PHOTOSHOP EPS

All images are saved as Photoshop EPS files with JPEG maximum quality encoding.

Note: You will observe a drastic reduction in file size due to jpeg compression settings. Do not be concerned as the image will retain all original quality and lose neither clarity nor depth of color.

6.

LINKED IMAGE FILES - THIS IS CRITICAL!

Image files must be linked. Embedded, non-vector artwork cannot be guaranteed and therefore is not acceptable.

FONT TREATMENT

7.

ALL FONTS MUST BE OUTLINED

There is no need to include fonts within you submission folder. If fonts are not outlined we cannot guarantee printing accuracy.
